Poor quality - three pairs in <6 mos
I've worn Oakley frames for the past 14 years (4 different pairs), with the 2 previous sets being Metal Plate, which are bullet proof. After loosing my last set of metal plates in March, I decided to switch it up, and went with the Tincup. So disappointed. The frame started to bend from the lenses within two months on the first set, and were replaced under warranty. The next two sets each experienced a broken weld, where the upper frame is welded to the lens ring, These failures each occurred less than a month after getting them. I have pulled out every other pair of my old Oakleys today, to have a look, and they are still solid, and these were all worn for between 2-3 years (too bad my rx has changed to progressives). I'm doing nothing different with the Tincup, in how I wear them. The same weld break, within a month of wearing them is indicative of a quality control issue. I understand Oakley is under new ownership, and wonder if there are new cost saving efforts in place that is leading to poor quality. Having been an Oakley wearer for so long, it's sad to think that I may have to find another brand, that makes a quality product. Or, maybe I'll just go back to the Metal Plate (but have they maintained quality with that frame? I wouldn't recommend the tincup to anyone.

The Flexibility of the Metal Frames
Having the ability to choose a 54mm width frame vs 52mm frame with the stylish features vs what I was getting with Ray Ban previously was key to my decision.

Stay in place!
I have been in frameless glasses the last 5 or 6 yrs, and I have really liked them, but I decided to try something different this time, glad I did. At LensCrafters the process was great and the fitting was exact. The clarity of the lenses is AWESOME. The frame has a nice shape that I get good peripheral vision without much effort. Also the temples have a good shape that grip behind but above my ears. As much as I like the wider frames for peripheral vision I also say this is the only negative, as I like to wear caps and there is interference with the hat bill. Not huge issue, but after being in rimless for so long it takes away a little bit of comfort. Overall, really satisfies and highly recommend.

not exact same with picture show
the mounting method of the nose pads are different with picture, actually it is using a screw to lock on fix on the frames, which seems cheap.
the 8 rivets to fix legs and joints also different style, on the picture they have round head on both side, but what i receive only have flat head.
also there are model info been printed on both legs and nose bridge, not laser printing or other fancy tech. which seems also pretty cheap.

Come up with excuses to wear them
I've had these for two months and am very impressed. I have several mframes and have always been happy with them for the most part.so I thought let's give these a try. I can't even tell they are on my face. The design is flawless and everybody checks them out even when they are trying to be sneaky about it

I love my new glasses! They look great on me!!!
The main thing is the amazing customer service. Richard at the Valley Stream location really helped me so much picking out the new glasses and the lenses, and was just wonderful. He had helped me out several other times repairing my old glasses after I got hit in the face a couple of times, and he is the nicest guy around!!!! It is because of HIM that I returned to Valley Stream to get my new glasses, even though I live far away in the Bronx.

Not what I expected
I have had these glasses for almost 3 months and I've had problems from day one. One side is very hard to fold and I havnt received a cleaning cloth. Kinda wishing I didn't go with a 500 dollar pair of glasses that I'm not particularly happy with.

Poor durability
Mine came loose at the rivets next to the lenses on both sides. When I brought them into the shop I was told this was a common issue and couldn't be fixed. Avoid this product.

Great frames...
When glasses were ready and handed to me, the nose bridges looked a little narrow. I ended up adjusting myself at home. Returned twice: a lens popped out, and a nose bridge pad tore off. Both times, glasses handed back (from Lab) to me with filthy lenses. The last visit, I asked if they could clean them for me. Perhaps, there is new policy. Service is not what it used to be in that store. Leonard never treated me that way.

Great Fit, Comfortable, Durable
I've had the Tincup Carbons for almost five years. I am a high level competitive athlete (bodybuilding and powerlifting) and I've been pretty hard on these glasses. After five years, they've finally succumbed to a high level of abuse. The frames have been bent and twisted so many times, they no longer hold the lens properly. The cats chewed the carbon off the temples long ago, so black duct tape has held them together. It's a miracle they lasted this long. Now that it's time for a new pair, I didn't have far to look. I'm getting the Tincup powder coal version. I've gotten dozens of compliments over the years on how great my glasses look. I'm a large man and these seem look "right" on my big head. They're also extremely comfortable in the gym. I'll be thrilled if I get another five years out of these. One word of advice, don't pay extra for the carbon temples. They look OK, but turned out to be cheap and easy to come apart.

Best frames EVER
I have had this style TINCUP before and plan on getting them again. They go thru anything except a face plant into cement sidewalk. I get many compliments on these frames. I have had several other Oakley frames but these are BY FAR the BEST.

Almost perfect in every way
I've gotten nothing but compliments on how they look, and I'm told they make me look younger - which is always nice! Only drawback is that the straight ear-pieces get pushed down when I wear a hat (or bike helmet); slightly uncomfortable.

Very comfortable and functional, too!
I have reached the point when progressives are my path forward. However, with these set of Oakley glasses, I have no regrets! It is quite amazing to be able to clearly see from up close to far away!

Oakley's keep getting better & better !!!
I was always a Ray Ban guy, but then I noticed that Oakley's started to roll out stylish designs. However, my Maui Jim's are still my go to for sunglasses.
