I needed a sunglasses that would work with my high prescription (6+ in the rt & 4+ in the left eye). Plus they are also progressive. I did not pay extra for thinner lens. The frame hides the thicker edges of my lens and I cannot tell the difference in weight as compared to my regular glasses that I did pay extra for thinner lens. This sunglasses provides great coverage. It did take a few adjustments of the frame/lens to get it to the right fit, but that could also be due to my high prescription. I highly recommend getting the 1 yr replacement warranty, adjustments did leave a few marks on frame and lens already have a few minor scratches even though I got the scratch resistant option.

Allows me to cut through the glare on the water to see the underwater structure and fish. I have great up close reading capability for tying on flies while also having superb long distance vision. I got the brown lens tint which handles all the glare of a bright sunny day while at the same time providing excellent brightness and contrast at dusk and dawn and even during heavy overcast and rainy days. I’m tickled Pink with these glasses - daybreak to dark - they never come off until the day is done.

The Lenscrafter rep recommended these RayBan frames and they're just what I needed. Great fit, lightweight, extremely comfortable and don't flop around while I'm running or biking. BUT when I got My prescription RayBan sunglasses I was so amazed at how they reduced the glare making driving a lot easier car and motorcycle. Very, very Happy I got them. I spend a lot of time on boats, and doing other outdoors things, as well as a lot of driving. I give a 3/5 only because the prescription optics are a bit off. If I turn my head just a little, the view goes blurry. The optics are just not right. That said, I do like the glasses, just wish the optics are correct.

Rated 3 out of 5 by rlslyj from Poor Quality I bought two pairs of glasses a month ago...sunglasses and regular vision glasses. The sunglasses are great. Whatever material was used for the other glasses is awful. It's extremely hard to clean the lenses. I don't know if it has to do with any coating. When I try to clean them with lens cleaner, I get a terrible smeary film on the lenses. Even without the solution and a clean cloth, it leads to smeared, cloudy lenses. Makes for terrible night vision, as it creates an awful glare.

They indeed provide that function! They are comfortable, lightweight, the kind of frames that you don't know are there. You can't go wrong with these!
